01 // PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Problem
Researchers shouldn't have to manually dig through a 50 page article before finding that it doesn't meet their needs. Sigma calculates what article best matches your needs, sorting from a host of GitHub pages, university papers, and verified online articles.
Sigma also functions as a chatbot, helping you interpret the article.

A more intelligent system includes aims to reduce the number of corners and steps a user has to take before reaching their desired result.
04 // UX PATTERNS FOR GENERATIVE AI
The patterns we set as design guidelines included the following :
pattern I
Explainable and Transparent Interfaces
Users need to understand AI-generated content to trust and effectively use it.

familiarity
clarity
pattern II
Interactive and Adaptive Prompts
Enhances user control and refinement of AI outputs.

interactivity
modifiability
pattern III
Seamless Integration and Embedding
AI capabilities should integrate smoothly into existing workflows without disruption.

brand image
consistency
pattern V
Contextual and Adaptive UI
User interfaces should adapt to different contexts and user needs dynamically.

brand image
dynamic UI
pattern IV
Real Time Feedback and Iteration
Users need to refine and adjust AI outputs quickly and effectively.

design for trust
matching expectancy
pattern VI
Minimalist and Intuitive Design
A clean and simple interface enhances usability and reduces cognitive load.

clear focus
predictable flow
what does this mean?
AI isn't Siri or Cortana, it's built differently, it works differently, it should be designed differently.
As a designer, in order to create a meaningful user experience, its necessary to convey the difference in magnitude of an AI interface and a simple virtual assistant.
